Knowing Jesus

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

They replied, "some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah, and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hades will not overcome it.

Matthew 16:13-18

As it happened to Peter, so it must happen to everyone that comes to the realization of whom Jesus Christ is. This truth can only be revealed to the heart of a man through the Father and it is born of His Spirit. If you do not know who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you, ask God the Father and He will reaveal it to you. You do not need to ask anyone but Him. "He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?"(Psalms 94:9) Of course He can! My friend understand one thing, what Jesus Christ conquered for you on the cross has been obtained in victory, for He Himself uttered the words "...It is finished!..."(John 19:30). It can't and it won't be undone, please receive it with gratitude and thanksgiving for He loves you.
